Legal Disclosures and Disclaimers
Plain-language disclosures about development status, political neutrality, compliance information, GPS accuracy, and the limits of our liability.
Development status
SignCommand 360 is pre-release software offered through an Early Access Program. Features may be incomplete, may change, or may be removed. Some capabilities are placeholders pending third-party integrations. Availability is not guaranteed and data loss is possible.
Political neutrality and non-endorsement
The Platform is a nonpartisan operational tool available to campaigns, committees, and organizations across the political spectrum. We do not endorse, sponsor, contribute to, or coordinate with any candidate, committee, party, or ballot question. Content within a campaign's workspace, its public request portal, and its printed signs is authored and paid for by that campaign, not by us.
Campaigns are solely responsible for the "paid for by" disclaimer and any other required attribution on their signs and materials.
Not legal, compliance, or campaign-finance advice
Nothing in the Platform or in these documents is legal advice. Jurisdiction rules, removal deadlines, disclaimer checklists, permit notes, and compliance alerts are organizational aids built from information entered by users and from public sources that change frequently. They may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong for your specific location.
Always confirm sign ordinances, right-of-way rules, setback distances, permit requirements, posting windows, removal deadlines, and reporting obligations directly with the governing municipality, county, or state authority, and with your own counsel.
GPS, mapping, and routing accuracy
Coordinates come from the device's location hardware and can be off by many meters, especially near buildings, under tree cover, or indoors. Maps, geocoded addresses, boundaries, precinct overlays, and optimized routes are approximations provided by third parties. Do not rely on them to determine property lines, right-of-way boundaries, jurisdiction, or legal placement distances.
Photographs and residential privacy
Placement photographs are taken in residential neighborhoods and are stored privately with expiring access links. Users must photograph the sign, not people or dwelling interiors. Campaigns are responsible for what their volunteers capture and for honoring resident requests about images of their property.
Notifications and alerts
In-app, email, SMS, and push notifications depend on third-party delivery networks and on device settings. Delivery is not guaranteed and may be delayed. Do not rely on an alert as the sole safeguard for a legal deadline or a time-critical field operation.
Offline mode and sync
Field tools can capture work offline and sync later. Records held on a device before syncing are not backed up by us, and can be lost if the device is lost, reset, or its storage is cleared. Sync as soon as connectivity allows.
Sign loss, theft, and recovery
The Platform records where signs were placed and helps plan recovery. It does not prevent theft, vandalism, or removal by third parties, and it cannot guarantee that any sign will be found or recovered. Recovery rates depend on field execution, not on the software.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, MISSED DEADLINES, REGULATORY FINES OR PENALTIES, LOST OR UNRECOVERED SIGNS, OR ANY ELECTORAL OUTCOME ARISING OUT OF USE OF THE PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY IS LIMITED AS SET OUT IN THE TERMS OF SERVICE, AND IS ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) WHERE THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.
Security posture statement
We describe the controls the product actually implements — tenant isolation at the database layer, role-based access, private photo storage with expiring links, append-only audit and security logging, and privacy controls over precise location and supporter contact details. These descriptions are not a certification, audit result, or attestation, and we make no claim of SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, or GDPR certification.
Accessibility
We aim to follow WCAG 2.1 AA practices, including keyboard operability, visible focus, sufficient contrast, and accessible chart alternatives. Accessibility work is ongoing. If you encounter a barrier, tell us and we will prioritize a fix.
