Acceptable Use Policy
What you may not do with the Platform, its data, or the people whose information it holds.
1. Purpose
This policy protects supporters, volunteers, campaigns, and the Platform itself. It applies to every user and to anyone acting on a user's behalf. Violations can result in immediate suspension of an account or an entire campaign.
2. Prohibited use of supporter and volunteer data
- Do not export, copy, or retain supporter addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses for any purpose other than the campaign operation that collected them.
- Do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer supporter or volunteer data to any third party, including other campaigns, data brokers, or advertisers.
- Do not use addresses or coordinates to harass, intimidate, surveil, stalk, or retaliate against any person.
- Do not publish supporter names, addresses, coordinates, or political preferences publicly or in any shared document outside the Platform.
- Do not use volunteer location history to monitor a person outside an active field session they started.
3. Prohibited conduct
- Unlawful activity, including violation of election law, campaign finance law, sign ordinances, or trespass law.
- Placing signs on private property without the owner's permission, or in a right-of-way where it is prohibited.
- Removing, defacing, relocating, or reporting false information about another campaign's signs.
- Filing false incident, theft, damage, or verification reports, or falsifying placement photographs, timestamps, or coordinates.
- Uploading malware, attempting to bypass access controls, probing the Platform for vulnerabilities without authorization, or accessing another organization's data.
- Sharing accounts, impersonating another person, or misrepresenting your role or authority.
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages through Platform integrations in violation of anti-spam or telemarketing law.
- Automated scraping, excessive request rates, or any activity that degrades Platform performance for others.
- Uploading content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, or infringing.
4. Photography rules
- Photograph the sign and its immediate surroundings only — frame tightly and avoid capturing people.
- Do not photograph the interior of any dwelling or through any window.
- Do not photograph minors.
- Delete and re-take any photograph that unintentionally captures an identifiable person, if the resident asks.
- Do not upload placement photographs to social media or any channel outside the Platform without the resident's permission.
5. Field conduct and safety
- Follow the campaign's training requirements before starting a field session.
- Respect "no soliciting" signage and any resident's request to leave.
- Do not enter fenced yards, garages, or any enclosed area.
- Do not operate the app while driving; a passenger or a stopped vehicle only.
- Report unsafe locations through the incident tools rather than returning alone.
6. Reporting and enforcement
